Writing Task: Create a Scene
Your creative writing task is to create a script that fits the following criteria:
SETTING: It is set in a school.
CHARACTERS: Three main characters.
SITUATION: Two of the characters are friends and the third is new to the school. The third character has a secret piece of information that he/she won’t reveal to the other two, but which he/she tells the audience about in a soliloquy.
THEME: Regret.
how do i structure it?
Start with a short set of stage directions outlining the place and who is on stage. The whole thing must be written as a dialogue (speech between characters) but you’re welcome to include a narrator if you wish.
what exactly do you mean by the theme regret?
The over-all scene has to provide some kind of insight into the idea of regret and what causes people to experience it.
